New Dormitory for IDP Children

After Fleeing Myanmar Conflict, 35 Children Now Have A Safe Haven

Thirty-five children in Myanmar recently sought refuge in a PCF-supported school (part of the School Power programme)  to continue their education after they had to leave their villages due to armed conflict near their homes.

Once they reached safety, there was nowhere to sleep, so their new community built a dormitory for them!

PCF supported all construction costs thanks to a generous donation from Tony Mann, which was made in memory of his late wife, Nancy. Food for the students for ten months was supported by Tony and by Stichting Welzijn Zuid-Oost Azië – Ban Adri.

Now that the dormitory is finished and lessons have started, the students have sent us and our sponsors “thank you letters”, one of which is shared below:
