OUR MISSION

Find, help & empower

people in need

How We Work

Projects are the foundation of Philanthropy Connections. We take a two-steps approach to our project involvement.

STEP

01

First, we seek out community-driven initiatives started by local people to benefit their communities and improve their quality of life.

STEP

02

Second, we connect these projects with sponsors willing to fund these activities.

DONATE

As a small and dynamic organisation we ensure that your support has the most impact.

Whether it is a one-off or a recurring donation, or even a large contribution to fund a complete project.

GET INVOLVED

You can either become a sponsor or a donor. Sponsors choose to financially underwrite an entire project and donors choose to contribute to help sustain our operations, as well as, help found our projects as needed. Sponsors and donors can be individuals, families, organisations or businesses.

OUR MISSION

Philanthropy Connections was founded to help people in need. It is the common thread in all we do. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we work to positively change the lives of the less fortunate. Those who we assist find strength in the fact that people like you, our sponsors, help them to build a better future.

OUR SUPPORTERS

Catherine Keyl

 Journalist and TV Personality

"Actually, I never really related to development work, because I don’t like big, complex organisations. That’s the beauty of Philanthropy Connections: you know exactly what your money is used for."

Dieuwertje Blok

Actress and TV Personality

"I have seen a lot of development work where question marks can be placed with the usefulness and effectiveness, but Sallo and his organisation I trust unconditionally. He lives a simple life, close to the source and his support stems from respect, not from pity. That’s how it should be."

Karin de Groot

Writer and TV Personality

"I support Philanthropy Connections because it is Sallo’s project. He knows to move mountains with few resources and has the talent to bring people together; a unique combination to efficiently and effectively match means with needs."

Rob Urgert

Comedian and TV personality

"With my family, I visited several projects with Philanthropy Connections in 2011 and I was instantly convinced. It is so evident that this is right! What they do really works."

Rob Kamphues

Comedian and TV Personality

"Completely selfless and at very meagre wage, Sallo helps hundreds, if not thousands of youngsters to a better existence. At a modest, but on an ever growing scale, straightforward and with integrity. That deserves support."

What They Say

Seng Awng

Volunteer Teacher

"I am very glad and enjoy seeing students learning from me and gaining what I teach them. Most students show their love and respect to me whenever we have fellowship. That gives great joy to me. I am very pleased with being volunteer teacher in such poor people and scarce places in conflict areas. I am sure that I serve my people as much as I can."

Aung Thein Tun

Scholarship Student

"Your support made happy not only me but also my family because it is as if we got a couple of hands to fulfil our wishes and to keep my goal"

Aunchernpond Poonthipat

Scholarship Student

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the scholarship donors who have supported my 5 years education programme. I have had the opportunity to study in the faculty of my choice. Today, I am still a beneficiary of your kindness, but in the future, when I have a fulfilling career, I will undoubtedly pay it forward as a donor myself."

Chutima Tawanpreda

Scholarship Student

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the generous scholarship providers. The scholarship has enabled me to receive an education, gain practical experience in society, and live a happy life at home."

Saw Moo Kaw Hsar

Scholarship Student

"I am determined to elevate the standard of living in my community, as children are forced to work hard for low ages even at young ages. I am committed to becoming a capable leader who can guide young people to achieve their best potential."

OUR BENEFICIARIES

Carter Duong

PCF Goodwill Ambassador

While the world is on fire with ego-fueled wars and conflict, manmade divisions, and unfortunate natural disasters, victimising so many innocent civilians, one might be tempted to lose hope in humanity. The Philanthropy Connections Foundation gives us back some hope for a better world with their many humanitarian contributions. Helping war-stricken communities and families in refugee camps to find peace and stability. Raising awareness about the importance of education for children in need to have a better chance in life. Working relentlessly with a team of professionals to ensure that people in need will prosper.

I myself am a direct result of the goodwill of humanitarians. As a newborn, my single mother and I fled the communists in Laos after my mom escaped from their prison to give birth to me. We found refuge in neighbouring Thailand in a refugee camp and were helped with kindness by humanitarians. We will always remain thankful. Now, I live an amazing life in Bangkok as a diplomat's spouse with three children and my husband, who is the Dutch Ambassador to Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. Life is good for us. But for so many families, life is at risk without the help of humanitarians.

PCF has been doing amazing humanitarian work for more than a decade now. Founder Sallo is someone who knows the art of giving so well. I admire him for having the biggest heart for people in need and doing the utmost to help make this world a better place. I am proud and humbled to say I am part of his team as a PCF goodwill ambassador. Our Dutch Ambassador family vouches for the great humanitarian work of PCF.
