For 10 years now, PCF has helped create opportunities for tens of thousands of beneficiaries. Currently we have 30 active projects (including emergency projects), but only 8.6 permanent team members. With very little overhead, we work hard for the thousands of people we support.
We need your help to fund our general donation pool - to cover shortfalls in our long term projects; to ensure we can quickly respond to emergency needs (in parallel with projects that address long term needs); and to help keep the "lights on".
We frequently post on Facebook about the small but essential projects that these donations support. See the latest impacts here.
The Foundation for Applied Linguistics (FAL) supports the educational development of ethnic children in Thailand. They work with schools in remote villages in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces where minority children face huge difficulties due to a language gap between their local language and the Thai language used at school. FAL offers a specifically designed language programme targeted to improve the language skills of ethnic children. The ultimate goal is that these students will understand lessons in Thai and preserve their ethnic identity.
And this is where we need help. Can you help us to continue supporting this project?
For details on this project please see here.
Aunchernpond is a motivated student and is doing a Bachelor of Education in community development. She is a very ambitious student, who’s goal is it to bring change in her community after finishing her studies.
She lives in a northern province in Thailand and her parents are poor farmers, typical in this region, and cannot support her studies. By donating to this fundraiser Auncherpond gets closer to pay for her scholarship for school.
Please help us to support her by donating below!
