An Evening of Elegance and Generosity

On November 22, 2024, the Dutch Ambassador’s residence on Wireless Road, Bangkok, became a beacon of warmth, elegance, and purpose. Philanthropy Connections Foundation (PCF), supported by the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce, hosted its first-ever fundraising gala, “A Night at the Embassy.” The event brought together over 100 philanthropists, corporate partners, and art enthusiasts, all united by one goal: supporting children in need across Thailand.

The exclusive black-tie evening seamlessly combined the charm of Dutch and Thai cultures with an unmatched culinary experience. Six Dutch Master Chefs—Sebastiaan Hoogewerf, Jimmy Ophorst, Henk Savelberg, Sabri Kocoglu, Ratchawat Vichianrat, and Lars Boumans—prepared a six-course gastronomic masterpiece. Accompanied by exquisite wine pairings, the dinner showcased a celebration of flavor, creativity, and artistry.

Musical Performances with Heart

The gala was graced by performances from world-class Dutch and Thai artists, including the soulful Jennifer Ewbank and the talented Violin Princess, Lukgal Chanatda Wichainuwat. Their music not only entertained but also inspired attendees to reflect on the transformative power of giving. Each performer generously donated their talent to ensure that the evening’s proceeds would create a significant impact for PCF’s projects.

A Fundraising Triumph

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and auction bidders, the event successfully raised substantial funds, with every baht going directly to initiatives that provide education, healthcare, and basic necessities to children in marginalized communities across Thailand. From vibrant live auctions to heartfelt speeches, the evening highlighted the power of collaboration in changing lives.

The True Beneficiaries: Children in Need

The funds raised from “A Night at the Embassy” supported PCF’s mission to empower vulnerable communities. This included children in underserved rural areas who now have greater access to education, better living conditions, and opportunities for a brighter future.

A Heartfelt Thanks to All

The success of this extraordinary evening was made possible by the support of the Dutch Ambassador, Remco van Wijngaarden, and his spouse, PCF goodwill ambassador Carter Duong. Special thanks also went to the event’s sponsors, including the Okura Prestige Bangkok, Royal Embassy of the Netherlands, and the six chefs who volunteered their time and talent.

Together, we demonstrated that a shared vision could lead to profound change. For those who missed this incredible evening, stay tuned for updates on future efforts to uplift communities in need.
