The project prepares children for school by following Cambodia’s preschool curriculum, encouraging regular attendance, teaching basic health and hygiene, and providing nutrition and health check-ups, supporting their success in school and life.

The KAKO scholarship eases this burden by covering school fees, uniforms, and stationery, and supports families with rice and a bicycle, enabling more children to complete their education and access better job opportunities.

The preschools ensure that between 80 to 100 children per year are well prepared to attend primary school, improving their chances of successfully completing their education.

KAKO established 18 libraries in some of the poorest villages. Launched in 2002, these libraries support new readers, students, and adults in maintaining and improving their literacy skills.
